Jews and Arabs protecting one another in Israel

From NBC News (thanks to the friend who sent this my way)

A group of Jews and Arabs in Israel has a ‘radical’ idea — protecting one another as fear reigns
“We are always told that they hate us, so we need to hate them. I always felt something was wrong there,” one activist said.

“Self-confessed radicals plot an evening of interfaith rebellion” – a civil guard. Even though they know their voices represent a tiny minority, they are doing what they can.

They have taken on a range of tasks: accompanying both Arab and Jewish Israelis who are scared to  journey across other neighborhoods; sending supplies to Israeli communities displaced by the recent conflict; and, in the event of significant unrest , planning to dispatch volunteers to document and even mediate.
